Nana Aba Anamoah defies critics with unshakable self-love and confidence
Ghanaian broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah has spoken openly about self-acceptance and dealing with public criticism. In recent interviews, she stressed the importance of personal happiness over others' opinions. Her comments reflect a long-standing attitude of resilience against negativity.
Anamoah first shared her views on handling criticism in a 2020 Joy FM interview. She declared, 'I don't let negativity define me—I celebrate my curves and achievements.' This came after facing backlash over her weight gain, a topic she addressed again in a 2022 feature for Graphic Online. There, she advised, 'Self-love means ignoring haters and focusing on your truth.'
On the Konnected Minds Podcast, she reinforced her stance, stating, 'I do what makes me happy. I really do not care if you like me or not.' She also dismissed the idea of seeking validation, saying, 'I'm not in the business of correcting anybody's view of me.' Her confidence extends to encouraging others to embrace their own perceptions, whether positive or critical.
Anamoah has repeatedly made it clear that external opinions do not affect her. 'There is nothing you can say to me that will bring my spirit down,' she affirmed. 'I don't pay attention. I don't lose sleep over the opinions of people I think shouldn't really be discussing my life.' Instead, she focuses on self-contentment and resilience, urging her followers to do the same.
Anamoah's message remains consistent: personal fulfilment matters more than public approval. She continues to advocate for self-love, insisting that happiness should never depend on others' views. Her approach offers a clear example of prioritising inner strength over outside noise.
