Mönchengladbach Police Offer Free E-Bike Training for Seniors
Mönchengladbach police are organising a free e-bike training session for seniors on Tuesday, March 31. The event runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and is designed for riders aged 65 and over who want to improve their skills and safety knowledge.
The training will take place at the Youth Traffic School on Dessauer Straße 60. It includes both theory and practical exercises, with a focus on handling, road awareness, and avoiding common mistakes.
In the classroom, participants will learn about traffic rules, potential hazards, and the specific features of e-bikes. The practical session will cover riding techniques, blind-spot awareness, and proper equipment use. Since e-bikes can reach speeds of 25 km/h, safe handling is essential. Spaces are limited to 15 people, and attendees must bring their own e-bike and helmet. Registration closes on Friday, March 27, and can be completed via email at *[email protected]*. The course aims to help seniors ride more confidently while understanding the benefits of e-bikes for mobility.
The training offers seniors a chance to refine their e-bike skills in a controlled environment. With growing popularity among older riders, the session addresses both safety and practical riding techniques. Those interested must register by March 27 to secure a place.
