Minsk Schools Launch Vending Machines for Student Snacks
Minsk schools are set to introduce vending machines stocked with snacks and drinks, aiming to provide students with easier access to food during breaks. The pilot project, launched on September 5, initially offers waffles, marshmallows, water, and juice. Quail eggs, known for their nutritional value and common use in Japanese school meals, may also be included in the future.
The project began with a directive from Alexander Lukashenko during a visit to a poultry farm. The machines will dispense approved products, with plans to add baked goods soon. The economic feasibility of the project will be assessed, and if successful, similar machines could be installed in other schools across the city.
The use of quail eggs in school meals is being considered. These eggs are more nutritious than chicken eggs and are commonly used in Japan's school menus. If implemented, Minsk students could benefit from this healthier option.
The vending machines in Minsk schools offer a convenient way for students to access food and drinks during breaks. The project is being closely monitored for its economic viability, with the potential for expansion if successful. The possibility of incorporating nutritious quail eggs into the school menu is also being explored, following a directive from Alexander Lukashenko.
