Mina Agca wins Pfronten’s sixth-grade reading competition with emotional performance
Pfronten Middle School recently held its sixth-grade reading competition in one of the school’s newly renovated learning spaces. Students took turns presenting their favorite books and reciting passages before a panel of judges.
Six participants competed by introducing a book of their choice and reading a prepared passage aloud. They were also tested on an unfamiliar text, 'Because of Winn-Dixie', to showcase their fluency and expression.
The jury included former and current teachers, along with Ms. Mehrgott from Pfronten’s community library. They assessed each performance based on delivery, clarity, and emotional engagement. In the end, Mina Agca won the competition. As the school’s representative, she will now advance to the district finals in Marktoberdorf. All contestants received a book prize, generously donated by the local library.
The event highlighted the students’ reading skills while rewarding their efforts with books. Mina Agca’s victory secures her place at the upcoming district-level competition in Marktoberdorf.
