Millwood school board renews Dr. Robinson-Woods’ superintendent contract amid progress
The Millwood school board has extended Dr. Robinson-Woods’ contract as superintendent. The decision follows a 4-1 vote, with most board members backing her leadership. Community reactions on social media have been largely positive since the announcement.
Under Dr. Robinson-Woods’ guidance, Millwood schools have shown steady improvement. Last year, the high school was removed from the state’s at-risk list, and this year, the final elementary school followed. As a result, no Millwood schools now appear on that list.
The board’s support for her extension came from President L. Regina Richardson, Vice President LaToya S. High, and members Christopher J. Harrison and Andre Coleman. Rickey T.L. Hunt, Sr. was the only member to vote against the decision.
Dr. Robinson-Woods has emphasised stronger communication between schools, staff, families, and the wider community. The board also hinted at additional plans for Millwood’s future, though details have not yet been shared.
Regular board meetings continue on the first Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. in the Commons Area of Millwood High School.
With the contract extension approved, Dr. Robinson-Woods will keep leading Millwood’s schools. The district remains focused on maintaining progress and engaging with the community. Further updates from the board are expected in the coming months.
