Middle School Career Day Opens Doors to Future Jobs for Students

Amendingen Middle School recently held its annual Career Day, drawing in roughly 150 students. The event gave young participants a chance to explore different professions through direct interaction with local businesses.

Ten companies from Memmingen and nearby areas took part in the day's activities. Students chose three businesses to visit, while teachers Stephanie Jakob and Ali Bor assigned them a fourth. This ensured a broad range of exposure to different career paths.

Representatives from each company demonstrated their daily work and led practical exercises. Students tried tasks like constructing a solar-powered boat, putting together a tablet stand, checking blood pressure, and wiring an electric doorbell. The hands-on approach allowed them to experience real-world applications of various skills. The professionals showed patience and commitment while answering questions from the pupils. Their willingness to engage left a strong impression on the students, many of whom left with new insights into potential future jobs.

The event wrapped up with students gaining fresh perspectives on career options. Their experiences may now shape decisions about further education or training. The school's Career Day once again proved valuable in connecting young people with local employers.
