Men's Mental Health: Trevor Stevenson Brings 'Leveling Up' Workshop to Düsseldorf
Trevor Stevenson, CEO and Founder of FUNdaMENtal, has brought his Men Leveling Up workshop program to Düsseldorf, Germany. The initiative aims to help men recognize and change negative habits using tools like mindfulness and exercise.
The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre hosts weekly support groups for male patients and former patients. Men Leveling Up is one of several such groups founded in Ottawa in recent years. The workshop, a local initiative of FUNdaMENtal, provides a supportive environment for men to discuss personal development.
Dr. Rebecca Jaremko Bromwich, a Carleton University law professor, highlights Canada's lag in destigmatizing men's mental health. Ottawa Public Health offers Cognitive Behavioural Therapy sessions for new fathers at risk of depression. A 2025 Canadian Men's Health Foundation survey revealed over 65% of men report higher daily stress levels, with most never seeking professional help. The Canadian Mental Health Association found half of men are at risk of social isolation and lack adequate social supports.
Trevor Stevenson's Men Leveling Up workshop in Düsseldorf addresses these pressing issues by providing a supportive space for men to handle strong emotions and work on personal development. The initiative aligns with growing recognition of the need to improve men's mental health support.
