Marina Epifantseva named new director of Krasnodar's investment agency

Marina Epifantseva has taken over as director of the Krasnodar Region Investment Promotion Agency. She replaces Yulia Prikhodko, who now leads the Department for Economic Development and Foreign Economic Relations in the same region. The appointment marks a shift in leadership for the agency as of March 2026.

Born in Naberezhnye Chelny on February 1, 1980, Epifantseva brings a strong academic and professional background to her new role. She graduated from Kazan State Technical University with a degree in World Economy. Later, she earned a second qualification from the Tatar-American Regional Institute, specialising in Teaching Foreign Languages and Cultures.

From 2019 to 2026, she worked as a lecturer at TISBI University of Management. In 2025, she won the national Znanie.Lector competition in the 'Economics, Business, and Law' category. Her recent professional retraining in digital transformation management adds further expertise to her profile. Prikhodko's move to the Department for Economic Development and Foreign Economic Relations leaves no publicly available details on how her previous work affected investment promotion in the region.

Epifantseva's appointment introduces a leader with both educational and competitive achievements. Her experience in economics, teaching, and digital transformation will now shape investment strategies in Krasnodar. The transition follows Prikhodko's reassignment, though its impact on local investment remains undocumented.
