Manipal University Jaipur celebrates 9,043 graduates in historic online convocation

Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) held its fifth online convocation on February 7, 2026. The ceremony honoured 9,043 graduates from across India and 27 other countries. Shri Haribhau Bagde, Governor of Rajasthan, attended as the chief guest.

The event celebrated students from 28 states, six Union Territories, and multiple nations. Of the graduates, 1,531 participated in person, while others received their degrees in absentia. Degrees were awarded in fields like commerce, business administration, computer applications, and journalism.

Shri Bagde stressed the value of blending traditional and modern education. He also highlighted how online learning supports lifelong skill development. Meanwhile, Dr. N N Sharma, MUJ's president, reaffirmed the university's dedication to high-quality digital education through its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE).

MUJ currently runs nine online degree programmes, serving over 150,000 learners from more than 60 nationalities. These students come from over 1,500 towns and cities in India alone. Since 2021, Online Manipal—the digital platform for MUJ, MAHE, and SMU—has supported over 160,000 learners.

Beyond academics, MUJ provides online students with career advice. This includes skill assessments, industry training, and virtual job fairs to improve employability.

The convocation marked another milestone for MUJ's growing online education network. With thousands of graduates now entering the workforce, the university continues to expand its digital learning initiatives. Career assistance and placement services remain key features of its online programmes.
