Lukoil's career programs bridge education and oil industry jobs in Komi Republic

Lukoil is running career guidance programmes in regions where it operates, including the Komi Republic. The company's specialists visit schools to help students explore opportunities in the oil and gas sector.

The next session will be held on March 16 in Ukhta, where experts will meet with pupils from School No. 18.

So far, Lukoil's team has visited 15 schools and educational centres across the Komi Republic. They have also reached remote villages in the Ukhta, Usinsk, and Sosnogorsk districts. Future sessions are planned for Perm, Khanty-Mansiysk, and Novosibirsk.

During the meetings, students learned about roles such as oil and gas production operator, dehydration and desalting plant operator, and process pump operator. They also received details on admission requirements for Perm National Research Polytechnic University and its Kogalym Education Center branch. Igor Matviyenko and Stepan Petrov, employees of Uhtaneftegaz, shared their own career paths with the pupils. Olesya Ponomaryova, a homeroom teacher, noted that the sessions boosted students' motivation. Lukoil offers additional support, including housing assistance, work uniforms, networking events, field trips, internships, and training. The company also guarantees graduates a job within the Lukoil Group.

The initiative aims to connect students with real-world career options in the energy sector. With practical support and job guarantees, Lukoil is helping young people transition from education to employment. The next event in Ukhta will continue this effort on March 16.
