Local graduates shine with degrees, honours and athletic accolades nationwide
Several students from the region have recently earned degrees from universities across the US. The graduates completed programmes in fields ranging from business and health sciences to arts and education. Among them, some also received academic honours and athletic recognition.
At Kutztown University, multiple students celebrated their achievements this term. Ashlyn Brooke Althouse graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business administration, specialising in marketing. Emily Griest earned a Bachelor of Science in art education, while Samantha P. Baer completed a Bachelor of Arts in sociology.
Mallory Michelle Dover received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art, graduating cum laude. Nora P. Wentz achieved summa cum laude honours with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in animated arts. Blake Kenneth Johnson was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies, and Cheyenne Getz obtained a Master of Arts in arts administration. Elsewhere, Christine Blaisdell earned a Master of Arts from Kent University. Lauren Medina completed an Associate of Science in health science professions at Georgia State University. In sports, Leah Laubach was named to the United East All-Conference Second Team for women's basketball, recognising her performance during the season.
The graduates now move forward with degrees in diverse disciplines, from creative arts to professional studies. Some, like Laubach, have also been acknowledged for excellence beyond academics. Their achievements mark the end of a demanding but rewarding chapter in their education.
