LinkedIn Academy Launches to Train Students in Professional Content Creation

A new training platform designed to improve student-created content for universities and colleges has launched in Australia. LinkedIn Academy, developed by Adelaide-based creative agency LinkedIn, went live on 17 February 2026. The programme aims to help institutions use student voices more effectively in recruitment while ensuring the material meets professional standards.

The platform was tested with over 200 students from more than 20 educational institutions. Participants completed structured modules, earned micro credentials, and attended live training on video trends. The pilot focused on teaching practical skills like framing, scripting, lighting, sound, and editing.

Many institutions already use student-generated content to attract prospective students. However, this material often needs heavy editing due to technical or structural flaws. LinkedIn Academy addresses this by training students to produce clear, consistent, and polished content—ready for immediate use in content marketing.

The programme is now expanding to more education providers worldwide. Institutions can choose from different engagement tiers based on their size and support needs. For students, the training boosts employability by developing real-world media skills. For universities and colleges, it cuts costs by reducing reliance on external agencies while improving content quality.

LinkedIn Academy offers a structured way to refine student-created content for institutional use. The platform's focus on technical and creative training helps bridge the gap between authenticity and professional standards. Education providers can now access a scalable solution to enhance their recruitment materials.
