Las Vegas' best free attractions beyond the casinos

Las Vegas is known for its bright lights, entertainment and free attractions that draw millions of visitors each year. Beyond the casinos, the city offers everything from iconic landmarks to stunning displays of water, flowers and art—all without an entry fee.

One of the most photographed spots in the city is the 'Welcome to Las Vegas' sign. Designed by Betty Willis in just two weeks, the retro-style sign has stood as a symbol of the city since 1959. Tourists line up daily to snap pictures in front of its glowing letters.

Downtown, the Fremont Street Experience transforms five blocks into a pedestrian mall covered by a massive canopy of LED lights. Free live music, street performances and overhead light shows run nightly, creating a lively atmosphere for visitors. On the Strip, the Bellagio fountains put on a spectacular show set to music. Water jets shoot up to 460 feet in the air, with performances every half hour during the day and every 15 minutes from 8 PM until midnight. Nearby, the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens showcase elaborate seasonal displays, changing themes throughout the year with thousands of flowers and plants. For those who enjoy shopping, The Forum Shops at Caesars recreates an ancient Roman marketplace. Frescoes, marble statues and high-end boutiques fill the space, offering a mix of luxury and themed decor. Meanwhile, The LINQ Promenade provides an open-air alternative with restaurants, bars and attractions like the 550-foot-tall High Roller observation wheel and a zipline soaring over the crowd.

From historic signs to high-tech light displays and carefully crafted gardens, Las Vegas provides a range of free experiences. These attractions give visitors plenty to see and do without spending money, making the city accessible to all.
