Lahnstein Library Expands Free Digital Learning and Media Services for Members
Lahnstein Public Library has expanded its digital media offerings with four new services. These include RiffReporter, phase6, Polylino, and sofatutor. Access is free for all library members, with no extra charges required.
The new services cater to a range of educational and informational needs. RiffReporter offers independent, ad-free journalism through a cooperative model, ensuring diverse and unbiased reporting. For language learners, phase6 provides an intelligent repetition system with audio support and custom flashcards.
Polylino focuses on young readers, offering digital picture books designed to boost language skills and encourage a love of reading in preschool and primary school children. Meanwhile, sofatutor delivers over 10,000 instructional videos, interactive exercises, and worksheets for flexible, self-paced learning. These additions are made possible through the Lizenzmanager RLP, a central platform managed by the State Library Center of Rhineland-Palatinate. The library is located near you at Kaiserplatz 1, with opening hours on Mondays and Fridays from 14:00 to 18:00, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 18:00.
The expanded digital services aim to support learning, literacy, and independent journalism. Library members can access all four platforms without additional fees. Further details are available at www.lahnstein.de/stadtbuecherei.
