Celebrating Academy Achievers and Shaping Future Careers

Get ready to dive into the vibrant world of the Indian Muslim Association (IMA) Kuwait, where academic excellence is celebrated and future careers are fostered. Under the prestigious wing of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs (Department of Foreign Relations), IMA Kuwait hosted its Annual Students' Felicitation & Career Guidance event on May 30, 2025, at the stunning Al-Awqaf Auditorium in Reggae.

This electrifying annual gathering was all about shining the spotlight on young Indian students in Kuwait who triumphed in their 10th and 12th Grade Board Examinations. And, let's face it, who doesn't love a good celebration of achievements?

This flagship initiative of IMA Kuwait continues its mission of advocating for academic excellence, educational empowerment, and career guidance for the Indian expatriate community's youth in Kuwait. The event was a fantastic spectacle, attracting an eager audience of students, parents, educators, and dignitaries.

But the party started at 4:45 PM with student verification, followed by the formal inauguration at 5:30 PM. The auditorium was filled with distinguished guests, school principals, and proud families, ready to cheer for the future academics queens and kings.

The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Faizy Rahman, Center In-Charge at the Center for Training and Academic Guidance (CTAG), New Delhi. He spoke passionately on "Emerging Trends in Education: The Pathway to What After 12th Standard," offering priceless insights into modern education systems, global career paths, and essential decision-making strategies for students transitioning to higher education. A fewdiskful of information for those aiming high!

Fr. James Tuscano, Principal of Don Bosco (IEAS) School and Guest of Honor, delivered a touching and inspiring speech. He highlighted the critical role students would play in the future, paying tribute to the sacrifices of parents and teachers, particularly the silent strength and dedication of mothers. His emotional reflections resonated deeply with everyone present, reminding students of the true essence of education - empowerment, gratitude, and purpose.

Mr. Mohammad Ali, Coordinator of the Community Department at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, was also part of the event. He praised the students and commended IMA for its relentless efforts in fostering academic and moral excellence among youth.

Then came the awaited Felicitation Ceremony, where 160 deserving students were recognized. Eligibility for consideration was set at an impressive 85%. The students' results were verified through mark sheets submitted online during the registration phase.

Each award recipient received a Certificate of Excellence and a Medal of Appreciation, presented by esteemed guests. The Top 10 students in both Grade X and XII categories were further rewarded with special commemorative mementos recognizing their outstanding performances.

The esteemed "Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Student of the Year" awards were bestowed upon:

  • Aniruddh Vimal Shivan (Grade X, ICSK Senior School) - scoring an impressive 98.6%
  • Anam Anwar Kazi (Grade XII, ICSK Senior School) - earning a staggering 98.4%

Their achievements were met with thunderous applause, with the proud faces of students and their families serving as a testament to the significance of this recognition.

Mr. Mohammad Umar, President of IMA Kuwait, presented mementos to the guests of honor and thanked all school principals and parents for their unwavering support and involvement. He congratulated all award recipients and acknowledged the Organizing Committee, led by Mr. Riyaz Ahmad, for the seamless and impactful event they delivered.

The ceremony began with the Recitation and Translation of the Holy Quran by Master Abdullah Ahmed, and continued smoothly under the guidance of Mr. Parwez Hanif.

IMA Kuwait expressed heartfelt gratitude to its generous sponsors - Cloud Base Consultant (CBC) - Experts in Educational Admissions, Al Ain Water, and Al Faysal Bakery for their support. Light refreshments and snack boxes were offered to attendees during and after the event.

The 2025 Felicitation and Career Guidance Ceremony stood tall as a powerful statement of academic triumph and student potential, confirming IMA Kuwait's unwavering goal of cultivating excellence, ambition, and leadership within the Indian expatriate community.

Participants at the event gained valuable insights into personal growth and learning through the keynote speech on "Emerging Trends in Education: The Pathway to What After 12th Standard." The event, focused on education-and-self-development, emphasized the importance of career guidance for the youth in Kuwait.

To commemorate academic achievements, the esteemed "Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Student of the Year" awards were given to Aniruddh Vimal Shivan and Anam Anwar Kazi, both of whom exemplified personal-growth and learning, demonstrating exceptional performance in their Grade X and Grade XII exams respectively.
