Kuban-SPAS Honors 23 Years of Life-Saving Work with Immersive Exhibition

A new multimedia exhibition called Heroes Among Us has opened in Krasnodar Territory to honour the work of Kuban-SPAS, one of Russia's largest rescue organizations. The event marks the 23rd anniversary of the regional emergency service and coincides with Kuban Rescuer's Day. Visitors can explore the latest rescue equipment, take part in an interactive quest, and learn about the history of emergency response in the region.

The exhibition is taking place at 2 Kongressnaya Street and will remain open until April 5. Organized by Yaroslav Gorodetsky, it aims to highlight the demanding and vital work of Kuban's rescuers while encouraging young people to consider careers in emergency response.

Kuban-SPAS was founded on March 1, 2003, and has since handled over 60,000 emergencies, saving more than 29,500 lives—including 8,500 children. The organization operates in extreme conditions, earning a reputation as a key lifeline in the region.

During the event, Igor Lyutov from the Gelendzhik rescue unit was awarded the title Honored Rescuer of Krasnodar Territory. Roman Borodin also received a commemorative gift from the governor in recognition of his service.

The exhibition offers a chance to see firsthand how Kuban-SPAS carries out its life-saving missions. With interactive displays and real rescue vehicles on show, it provides insight into the challenges and achievements of the region's emergency responders. The event runs until early April, giving visitors time to experience the work of these dedicated professionals.
