KTU Becomes First Baltic University to Earn Elite AACSB Accreditation
Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) has become the first accredited public university in the Baltic region to earn AACSB accreditation for its business, management, and economics programmes. This achievement places KTU among an elite group of global business schools recognised for high standards in education and research. The AACSB accreditation is awarded to fewer than 6% of the world's top business schools. Graduates from these institutions are highly sought after, with 73% of Fortune 100 executives and 75% of the highest-paid S&P 500 leaders holding degrees from AACSB-accredited schools.
KTU's accreditation covers its School of Economics and Business (KTU SEB) and the Panevėžys Faculty of Technology and Business. The process involved a thorough review of study programmes, research activities, and management decisions. As a result, KTU strengthened its quality assurance system, focusing on continuous learning and a learner-centred approach. The university now emphasises five key graduate competencies: up-to-date knowledge, critical thinking, entrepreneurship, influential leadership, and practical skills. Study programmes increasingly incorporate experiential learning and collaboration with industry partners.
