Krasnodar Krai launches three new vocational clusters to bridge education and industry
Krasnodar Krai is expanding its vocational education system with three new educational clusters this year. The move comes under the federal Professionalitet initiative, part of the wider Youth and Children national project. These clusters will connect technical schools with local businesses to better prepare students for the job market.
The region already runs nine educational clusters, linking 40 technical schools and colleges with 53 employers. Now, three more will open at Yeisk Polytechnic College, Bryukhovetsky Agrarian College, and Labinsky Agrarian Technical School, specialising in tourism and agriculture.
Employers are actively involved in shaping curricula and upgrading training facilities. This ensures graduates develop skills that match real industry demands. The goal is to close the gap between classroom learning and workplace requirements.
Alongside the clusters, Krasnodar Krai has launched its own program to create 10 industrial training centers within technical schools. Seven are already operating, with three more planned for this year. The regional budget has allocated 500 million rubles to support these centers.
The expansion of educational clusters and training centers aims to strengthen ties between schools and businesses. With federal and regional funding in place, the initiative seeks to produce graduates who are ready for immediate employment. The focus remains on practical training tailored to local economic needs.
