Krasnodar Expands Children's Health Resorts With 3 Billion Ruble Boost
The Krasnodar region is expanding its network of children's health resorts and summer camps. Last year alone, over 430,000 young visitors attended 1,600 camps across the area. Now, a federal programme aims to further develop these facilities by 2026.
Under the new initiative, Russia plans to build 82 residential facilities and renovate 38 existing sites. The programme has secured 3 billion rubles in annual funding to support these upgrades. Private investors have also contributed, helping restore some of the older camps.
Efforts to preserve the region's camps have succeeded in stopping their conversion for other uses. Local authorities and lawmakers have worked together to keep these spaces dedicated to children's recreation. This year, two prefabricated buildings will be added to a camp in Slaviansky District, adding nearly 100 extra places per session.
The Krasnodar region remains a key participant in the federal push to improve and expand children's health resorts. The focus is on modernising infrastructure while maintaining access for young visitors.
The programme will increase capacity and improve facilities across the region. By 2026, dozens of new and upgraded sites will be available. These changes aim to ensure more children can benefit from summer camps and health resorts in Krasnodar.
