Komi student Alice Yukhnina wins historic gold at Russian Olympiad
The K.D. Ushinsky Russian Psychology and Pedagogy Olympiad concluded in Yaroslavl from March 24 to 27. Among the winners, Alice Yukhnina made history by securing the first victory for the Republic of Komi. Her gold medal in the tenth-grade category marked a significant achievement for the region. Alice Yukhnina, a student at School No. 12 named after Oleg Koshevoy in Syktyvkar, claimed the top prize. Her mentor, Yelena Vladimirovna Yukhnina, guided her through the competition. The win was the first for the Republic of Komi in the Olympiad's history.
Other standout participants included Alexandra Malafieva, an 11th-grade student from School No. 3 in Zheshart. She earned a prize under the mentorship of Natalya Vladimirovna Chernova. Tatyana Andreyeva, a ninth-grade student from Koslan Secondary School, also reached the final, supported by her mentor, Anastasia Vladimirovna Busheneva. The Komi Republic Institute of Education Development (KRIRO) highlighted the role of dedication, skill, and strong mentor guidance in the participants' success. Their statement recognised the efforts of both students and their teachers.
The Olympiad celebrated the achievements of students and their mentors. Alice Yukhnina's victory brought recognition to the Republic of Komi, while other participants also earned honours. The KRIRO extended congratulations to all involved in the competition.
