Komi launches summer camp vouchers with partial reimbursement options
Commercial Vouchers Now Available for Children's Camps in Komi
This year, in addition to subsidized categories, parents can purchase commercial vouchers for their children to attend the Chaika, Grenada, and Chernomorskaya Zorya (Anapa) summer camps—a new initiative announced during a public Q&A session hosted by Komi's civic reception office on the topic of "Organizing Children's Health and Recreation Programs."
"We have already outlined the priority groups eligible for subsidized vouchers, but many children do not fall into any of these categories," explained Yelena Kazakova, head of the Department of Supplementary Education and Summer Recreation at Komi's Ministry of Education. "To give all children the opportunity to attend camp, the ministry has introduced commercial vouchers this year. For example, a full-price voucher to Chernomorskaya Zorya costs 63,000 rubles. The child will travel not independently, but as part of an organized group, with supervised transport, medical and educational staff, and meals included. Transportation costs are paid separately."
Lyubov Korchazhinskaya, head of the Logistics and Children's Recreation Organization Department at the Republican Center for Children and Youth (a state autonomous institution under Komi's government), reminded parents that after completing a camp session, they can apply for partial reimbursement from the republic's budget for independently purchased vouchers to any children's health camp in Russia. The compensation covers 850 rubles per day of the session plus travel expenses. To qualify, parents must submit the required documents to the center, ensuring the camp is listed in the official registry of recreational organizations in its respective region. Once verified, the reimbursement will be processed.
This year, Chernomorskaya Zorya will offer 50 commercial vouchers per session across four sessions, totaling 200 spots. Local camps will provide 50 vouchers per session for four sessions at Grenada (200 total) and 50 for a single session at Mechta.
"We want to test demand and see how many parents are interested in this option," Kazakova noted. "If this year serves as a trial run, we can expand the number of commercial vouchers in the future."
Sergei Solovyov, head of the Organizational and Information Center at the Republican Center for Children and Youth, added that registration for commercial vouchers opened in early April on the dedicated portal *vleto11.ru. Applicants will need a Gosuslugi (State Services) account* to log in. After completing the application—providing details about the parent, child, and preferred session—a specialist from the center will contact them to finalize payment and sign the contract.
A reminder: subsidized voucher applications for eligible children will open on May 5 at 10:00 AM. The *vleto11.ru* website already features all updated information on this year's summer recreation programs.
