Kids Step Back in Time at Wolfenbüttel's Stone Age Adventure Workshop
A 'Stone Age Adventure' workshop is taking place in Wolfenbüttel for children aged 8 to 12. The event runs from March 23 to 27 at the Youth Leisure Center (JFZ). Free spots are still available for those interested in joining.
The five-day workshop offers hands-on activities inspired by prehistoric life. Children will learn fire-making with primitive tools, create faux fossils, and paint using natural pigments they make themselves. A field trip to the Wolfenbüttel Archaeological Museum is also included, where they will explore Stone Age artefacts on a guided tour.
The programme runs daily from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with extended hours until 7 p.m. from Monday to Thursday. Participation costs €60, which covers all activities and a warm lunch each day.
At the end of the week, the children's work will be displayed in a small exhibition. Family and friends are invited to see what the young participants have discovered and created.
The workshop provides a mix of practical skills, museum visits, and creative projects. It concludes with an exhibition to showcase the children's efforts. Parents can still register their kids for the remaining available places.
