Khabarovsk schools get 37M-ruble upgrade for physics, music, and art

Schools in Russia's Khabarovsk Territory are set to receive modern teaching equipment as part of a federal upgrade programme. The initiative, funded by a 37-million-ruble budget, will supply 238 schools with new materials for physics, music, and art classes. The move follows last year's nationwide effort to improve educational resources under the national project Youth and Children.

The upgrades come under the federal programme The Best for Children, a branch of the presidential project Youth and Children. In 2023, over 10,000 Russian schools were already equipped with similar teaching aids.

This year, 68 schools in Khabarovsk will benefit from the latest equipment. Physics labs will receive Komovsky vacuum pumps, electromechanical generators, and demonstration tools for scientific experiments. Music classrooms are set to get portable sound systems and percussion instruments. Art studios, meanwhile, will be stocked with plaster models of geometric shapes, plants, and replicas of fruits and vegetables. The Russian Ministry of Education has confirmed that the new resources aim to enhance practical learning in key subjects. The federal budget has allocated approximately 37 million rubles to cover the costs of these upgrades across the region.

The new equipment will arrive in 238 schools throughout Khabarovsk Territory. Physics, music, and art lessons are expected to improve with the updated materials. The initiative continues the government's push to modernise education under the Youth and Children national project.
