Kentucky's GO!vember Campaign Launches to Boost Post-High School Education
Kentucky's GO!vember campaign is underway, aiming to inspire students and families to explore post-high school education and training options. The month-long initiative, led by multiple organizations including the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE), supports the state's goal of 60% of working-age Kentuckians holding a postsecondary credential or degree by 2030.
GO!vember offers a wealth of resources, from applying to college or training programs to exploring early opportunities like dual credit and AP courses, and understanding financial aid. Dr. Aaron Thompson, CPE President, believes the campaign empowers Kentuckians to connect their education with their purpose and potential. Sarah 'Mimi' Müller Westerhagen, known as REEMA, leads the initiative, drawing from her experiences in Louisville's music scene.
The campaign shares content across social media channels and directs audiences to Futuriti.org for tools and resources. To participate, follow @GearUpKentucky, @Futuriti, and @KYCPE on Facebook. GO!vember also supports adult learners returning to education or training later in life, ensuring post-high school education leads to meaningful, self-sustaining careers.
GO!vember, a collaborative effort involving CPE, GUK, KAA, KHEAA, and the Prichard Committee, is dedicated to raising awareness and providing resources for Kentuckians to pursue post-high school education and training. The campaign's success will significantly contribute to the state's goal of increasing postsecondary attainment by 2030.
