Kazakhstan’s Mangystau Region Battles Flu Outbreak Among 20,000 Children

Flu cases have surged in Kazakhstan’s Mangystau region, affecting over 20,000 children. Schools across the area have responded by tightening health measures, with some switching to remote lessons to slow the spread of illness. The region currently reports 20,524 children suffering from flu-like symptoms. In Zhanaozen, the spike in infections has forced several schools to move classes online. School No. 1, School No. 5, and School No. 12 are among those now teaching remotely, affecting 8,099 students. Health officials continue to monitor the situation closely. With stricter hygiene rules now in place, schools aim to limit further infections. The total number of flu cases remains under observation as the region works to contain the outbreak.
