Job Speed-Dating Event 'Roundtable – Open Opportunities' Connects Young Job Seekers with Leading Companies

On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, the Otto Mauer Center in Vienna will host 'Roundtable – Open Opportunities', a job speed-dating event organized by 'Hands on Mentoring'. This initiative aims to connect young jobseekers, particularly those facing barriers to employment, with leading companies in a relaxed setting.

The event, running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will allow young candidates to sit at roundtables with recruiters, presenting themselves and forming personal connections. Applications are open until November 2 at www.hands-on.wien.

'Hands on Mentoring', a nonprofit initiative of the Catholic Action of the Archdiocese of Vienna, is behind this event. Partnering with Wuk, Jugend am Werk, and Interface Wien, the organization supports young people in finding training or employment. Eva Rosewich, head of 'Hands on Mentoring', leads this effort to help young people overcome hurdles in entering the job market.

Since 2019, 'Hands on Mentoring' has organized job speed-dating events, with more than half of the participants securing apprenticeships afterward. This year's event aims to connect young jobseekers with companies such as REWE, Wiener Stadtwerke, Sodexo, Magdas Hotel, and Magenta Telekom.

The 'Roundtable – Open Opportunities' job speed-dating event offers a unique chance for young jobseekers to connect with potential employers in an informal setting. With the support of 'Hands on Mentoring' and its partners, young people can take a significant step towards their career goals.
