The Division of Agricultural Chemicals at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), New Delhi, is offering a Young Professional-II (YP-II) position under the NASF-funded research project titled "The development of handheld sensor technology..."

Position Details

The YP-II position is a contractual one, initially for one year, extendable based on performance and project requirements. The monthly remuneration for the position is Rs.42,000/- per month (fixed and consolidated).

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Agricultural Chemicals, Chemistry (specialization in Organic Chemistry), or allied subjects from a recognized university with a good academic record. Desirable qualifications include a Master's degree in Seed Science and Technology, Genetics, Plant Breeding, Life Sciences, or related fields with experience in crop raising, seed testing, biochemical and molecular techniques.

The minimum age limit for the YP-II position is 24 years, and the maximum age limit is 45 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Women candidates will be as per ICAR/Government of India norms.

The completed application, along with scanned copies of certificates and required documents, should be submitted via email to [email protected]. A hard copy of the application must also be sent by post to the designated officer at ICAR-IARI, New Delhi by the specified deadline.

Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the date and mode of the interview (online/offline) through email. On the interview day, candidates must bring original documents for verification.

Important Dates

The last date for email submission can vary, while the deadline for sending a hard copy is usually 4-09-2025. The interview date will be communicated to shortlisted candidates separately.

Other Guidelines

Candidates whose near/distant relative is employed at ICAR/IARI must declare the same in the prescribed format (Annexure II). Any form of canvassing or misrepresentation of facts will lead to disqualification. The Director, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process or not select any candidate without assigning any reason.

The position involves participating in formulation analysis, data handling, documentation, assisting in report preparation, scientific publications, and other project-related tasks. It also requires supporting the development and evaluation of handheld sensor technologies and conducting advanced chemical analysis of medicinal plant samples.
