Jalgaon Conference Pioneers Digital Revolution for Nurses Worldwide

An international conference on technology-enabled healthcare and digital revolution in nursing was held in Jalgaon on 13th and 14th November 2025. The event, 'Jalgaon: Nursing in the Technology-Enabled Age', saw significant praise for its organization and impact on the nursing sector.

The conference was organized with approval from the Nursing Council of India, Maharashtra Nursing Council, and Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. It was coordinated by Prof. Nimmi Varghese, with a vote of thanks given by Vice Principal Jacinth Dhaya. The event was marked by keynote speakers discussing digital transformation in nursing, and sessions focused on overcoming telehealth barriers and chatbot nursing, guided by Prof. Dr Mini Rani Beth and Prof. Samuel Fernandes.

Topics discussed included virtual nurses, digital skills in nursing, telehealth services, wearable devices, health PCs, artificial intelligence, and crisis management tools. The conference was praised for helping overcome technological barriers in nursing, with former Minister Dr Ulhas Patil commending its efforts. An international joint approval was granted by the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Council of Nurses (ICN), and the Global Nursing Alliance. Speakers included Dr Pushpendra Nikumbh, Prof. from Health Sciences University, and Melissa Fernandes as an observer. A paper presentation competition was held for students, with Dr Neetanjali Patil and Kumari Kavita Kadam receiving the first and second prizes respectively.

The conference 'Jalgaon: Nursing in the Technology-Enabled Age' successfully brought together nursing professionals and experts to discuss the digital revolution in nursing. With its excellent organization and significant impact, it has been noted as a major step forward for digital progress in the nursing sector.
