Jackson Chance Foundation's 11th Ping Pong Ball Aims to Ease NICU Families' Burden
The Jackson Chance Foundation is set to host its 11th annual Ping Pong Ball on November 7, 2023, at SPIN Chicago. This year's event promises a unique blend of culinary delights, craft cocktails, and a lively March Madness-style table tennis tournament. The highlight, however, is a live auction featuring a private chef's dinner by 'Top Chef' finalist Bailey Sullivan and Chef Jacob Lewis of LPM Kitchen, paired with a bespoke cocktail service by Present Tense Bar.
Proceeds from the Ping Pong Ball will go towards the foundation's NICU Transportation Program. This initiative provides complimentary parking for families with critically ill babies at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital, Northwestern's Prentice Women's Hospital, and Rush University Children's Hospital. Currently, the foundation supports 260 families daily, totaling nearly 100,000 parking passes each year, helping over 3,000 families in total.
The Jackson Chance Foundation has been making a significant impact since its inception. To date, it has raised over $8.1 million, providing 883,000 days of parking and supporting 26,000 families. Remarkably, a $300 donation can save a NICU family over $1,000 in monthly parking costs. The foundation aims to expand its support to Comer Children's Hospital in the future.
The Ping Pong Ball is not just an exciting event; it's a crucial fundraiser for the Jackson Chance Foundation. By attending or donating, you can help ease the financial burden on families with critically ill newborns, allowing them to focus on what truly matters - their child's health and well-being.
