Italy and Ecuador Launch Groundbreaking Circular Migration Program for 255 Workers

Italy and Ecuador have launched a circular migration program, offering 255 temporary jobs to Ecuadorians. The initiative aims to promote 'transparent and orderly migration' and generate income for Ecuadorian families. The first group of workers will be nursing professionals, with the selection process based on qualifications and Italian language skills.

The program allows Ecuadorian workers to be hired by Italian companies for up to one year. Italy issues a decree every three years to organize the flow of immigrant workers, including Ecuadorians. The 255 temporary positions will be filled by professionals in healthcare and industrial mechanics. Upon returning to Ecuador, participants can reapply for new job opportunities in Italy. Ecuador’s Foreign Minister announced the first group of workers will consist of nursing professionals. The selection and allocation of these jobs are part of a revolving migration program designed to facilitate a transparent and orderly movement of workers.

The circular migration program between Italy and Ecuador is set to benefit both countries. It provides Ecuadorians with formal job opportunities in Italy, while also fostering their community principles and work ethic. The program is expected to generate income for Ecuadorian families and contribute to the Italian economy.
