Israel's Minister Praises Resilience, Hungary Reaffirms Alliance at Pro-Israel Summit
Israel's Minister of Education, Yoav Kisch, recently praised Israel's resilience, stating it has risen from 'the ruins caused by terrorism'. He also addressed baseless accusations of racism and genocide from progressives in the West. This came during the third annual International Pro-Israel Summit held in Budapest, Hungary, on 28 October.
The event, hosted by Miklós Szánthó, Director General of the Center for Fundamental Rights, saw participation from Hungary's Minister of Defence, Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky. Szánthó described Hungary as 'the only country with common sense in the EU' and 'Israel's only reliable ally in the EU'. Szalay-Bobrovniczky echoed this sentiment, describing Hungary as 'the country of perseverance, dignity, and faith'.
The summit also highlighted the strong alliance between Hungary and Israel. Szánthó stated that the Jewish-American-Hungarian alliance is alive and thriving today. Minister of Education Yoav Kisch thanked Hungary for its support following the 7 October attacks by Hamas. Szalay-Bobrovniczky described Israel as 'both a friend and strategic partner' of Hungary. Political commentator Yair Netanyahu, son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, also participated in a 'fireside chat' at the event.
The third annual International Pro-Israel Summit in Budapest reaffirmed the strong ties between Hungary and Israel. Both countries expressed their commitment to supporting each other, with Hungary being Israel's 'reliable ally' in the EU and Israel considering Hungary a 'friend and strategic partner'.
