Institution, Enzweiler Building, awarded $90,000 grant for Blueprint to Construction Training Program financing

The trades offered include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and now, historic preservation and building restoration at the Covington Academy of Heritage Trades.
The Blueprint to Construction Training Program is linked to the Building Industry Association of Northern Kentucky's mission to address the workforce needs of the local construction industry. It will expand its reach to more students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, and aims to accelerate opportunities for students to enter high-demand, high-paying careers.
At the Covington Academy of Heritage Trades, students will gain hands-on experience in historic preservation and building restoration. They will train at EBI's Covington facility and in a historic 'living lab' project, working to restore the Colonial Inn building on Madison Avenue.
The program will provide students with skills, certifications, and a head start toward journeyperson licensing upon graduation. Five students will receive scholarships to participate in the Covington Academy of Heritage Trades.
