In the Zhambyl region, a deputy has proposed a series of measures aimed at reducing violence among students and improving the overall school environment. The identity of the deputy remains undisclosed.

The proposed measures include limiting the mass use of smartphones in schools. This move is intended to strengthen friendships among students through face-to-face interaction, addressing the growing concern over excessive smartphone use among children.

The deputy also suggested implementing anti-bullying programs in all schools, recognizing the importance of fostering a safe and respectful learning environment. Furthermore, programs on emotion management, aggression prevention, and peaceful conflict resolution are proposed to be introduced. These initiatives are designed to equip students with the necessary skills to manage their emotions, prevent conflicts, and resolve disputes peacefully.

The proposal comes amidst a concerning increase in juvenile delinquency and serious crimes among children and teenagers. Three tragic incidents involving schoolchildren have occurred in the Zhambyl region since the start of the school year, including a schoolboy's death following a fight on September 15 and a dispute on September 1, 2025, that escalated, resulting in one student receiving a knife wound and subsequently dying.

In addition to these measures, the deputy suggested organizing sports and mass events to foster team spirit, mutual respect, and instill values of law-abiding behavior. Strengthening school psychological services is also a key part of the proposal, to ensure students receive the necessary support during challenging times.

Schools in the region are currently prioritizing academic quality, but the deputy's proposal suggests that their educational work is superficial. By addressing the social and emotional needs of students, the hope is that schools can create a more holistic educational experience, where students not only excel academically but also grow into responsible and respectful citizens.
