Huawei's HiRE6 Connects Egyptian Youth to Global Tech Jobs
Huawei recently hosted the 6th edition of its annual recruitment event, the Huawei iTB Recruitment Expo (HiRE), themed 'Your Gateway to Tomorrow's Industry'. The event, held under the patronage of Egypt's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Ministry of Labor, connected Egyptian youth with global certifications and over 100 participating companies.
HiRE6 served as an interactive platform, focusing on high-demand fields such as 5G, AI, Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity. The event was not just a one-day affair; it adopted a hybrid model, allowing job opportunities to be posted on an open online platform for a full month, broadening access for candidates.
The event was a testament to the long-standing collaboration between Huawei and Egypt. Dr. Ahmed Khattab, Director of the National Telecom Institute (NTI), highlighted this partnership, which has trained nearly 60,000 young talents across more than 160 Huawei ICT Academies over two decades. This partnership has also led to the launch of the Egyptian Talent Academy (ETA) in 2024, aiming to train 15,000 young individuals in advanced technology fields over the next five years.
Huawei Egypt's Senior Vice President, Mr. Dou Yong, affirmed the company's commitment to investing in youth, stating that it is a cornerstone for building Egypt's future and supporting its drive toward a sustainable digital economy. H.E. Mr. Mohamed Gibran, the Minister of Labor, echoed this sentiment, praising HiRE6 as a distinguished model of effective public-private partnership aimed at empowering young talents to lead Egypt's digital future and align with Egypt's Vision 2030.
The 6th Huawei iTB Recruitment Expo successfully provided Egyptian youth with a gateway to tomorrow's industry. With the support of the Egyptian government and local companies, Huawei continues to invest in the country's future, training and connecting young talents to job opportunities in high-demand fields. The event's hybrid model ensures broader access, making it a significant step towards Egypt's digital future.
