How Pratham Mittal's Unconventional Colleges Are Redefining Higher Education

Pratham Mittal, an entrepreneur from a family behind Lovely Professional University, has launched two unconventional higher education institutions. His frustration with traditional teaching led to the creation of Master's Union in Delhi and Tetr College of Business. Both focus on hands-on learning rather than classroom lectures.

At Master's Union, located in DLF Cyber City, one in four graduates starts their own business. The rest secure high-paying jobs straight after completing their studies.

Mittal's approach stems from a belief that practical experience teaches more than textbooks. His first venture, Master's Union, now stands out for its outcomes: 25% of its students become entrepreneurs, while others enter the workforce with strong starting salaries.

Tetr College takes experiential learning further. Its undergraduate business degree sends students to seven countries, where they must set up real businesses in each location. The programme attracts a diverse group, with cohorts of 200 representing over 45 nationalities. This global reach comes partly from partnerships with influencers and content creators who help spread the word. The college is also expanding physically. New campuses are planned for Ghana and Dubai, with discussions underway for a potential site in China. Mittal's influence extends beyond education—he has appeared as a judge on *Shark Tank India*, assessing business pitches from aspiring entrepreneurs.

Tetr College and Master's Union now offer alternatives to conventional degrees. Their models prioritise real-world projects over exams and lectures. With international growth and a focus on measurable results, both institutions continue to attract students seeking a different kind of education.
