How a Career Fair Sparked Benjamin’s Unexpected Reflex for Electrical Work
The AzubiXperience career fair in Kaufbeuren, held at Cico Cinema, offered eighth-graders Benjamin and Lea a chance to explore vocational paths. Among the 26 exhibitors, Benjamin discovered a new reflex in electrical work, while Lea sought an overview of her career options. Meanwhile, Dominik and Alexandra, siblings in tenth and ninth grade, looked for backup apprenticeship choices. The fair, organised to give students direct access to potential employers, proved successful. Carmen Schalk from Mayr GmbH praised the event, noting it offered more than just career advice. Benjamin, who plans to start vocational training after his M-Zweig, found the fair particularly useful in discovering his reflex to become an electrician. Grob, a company based in Mindelheim, faced challenges finding motivated trainees due to the wide range of career and further education options available. The AzubiXperience, however, provided an opportunity for students to approach companies directly and explore apprenticeship options at their own pace. Alongside career exploration, the fair offered side attractions like freestyle soccer performances and Mario Kart racing on a cinema screen. The AzubiXperience career fair in Kaufbeuren connected young students with potential employers, helping them explore apprenticeship options and discover new reflexes in their career paths.
