University of Denver Celebrates Academic Achievement Among Student-Artists

At the University of Denver, a diverse group of student-artists have been honoured for their academic excellence in the fall semester of 2022. The Summit League, the institution's athletics conference, recognises these students for their outstanding academic achievements.

In the field of Graphic Design, Oscar Merritt, William Esque, and Eric Moreno are pursuing Bachelor's and Undergraduate Certificates respectively. They are joined by Stefanos Dardanos, who is studying for an Associate of Occupational Studies. Nicholas Fairman and Oscar Merritt have been named to the President's List, while William Esque and Eric Moreno have earned Honor Roll recognition.

In the Digital Media department, Faustino Melendreras and Faustino Melendreras are pursuing Undergraduate Certificates. They are joined by Cameron Bentley, who is studying for an Undergraduate Certificate in Digital Media. Cameron Bentley and Faustino Melendreras have been named to the Honor Roll, while Stefanos Dardanos has been promoted to the President's List.

The Illustration department boasts a strong presence on the Honor Roll and the President's List. Haley Delgiacco, Chloe Koster, Rebekah Gagliardi, Susan Petty-Taylor, Maria Jose Nunez Bonequi, Elia Giuliani, and Lori Wyre are all pursuing degrees or certificates in Illustration. Chloe Koster, previously on the Honor Roll, has now been promoted to the President's List, as has Elia Giuliani. Maria Jose Nunez Bonequi and Lori Wyre are also on the Honor Roll.

Sharla Fossen is pursuing an Associate of Occupational Studies in Digital Photography, and Jamin Bush is studying for an Undergraduate Certificate in Illustration. McKenzie Maselka is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration, and Nathan Dalton is studying for an Undergraduate Certificate in Web Design.

Dr. Meryl P. Epstein, Dean of Academic Affairs, congratulated the Honor Roll recipients on their academic success and commended their creative work and leadership. The students receiving recognition through the Academic Excellence program are those who excel in Bachelor's Degree, Associate Degree, and Undergraduate Certificate programs.

The Academic Excellence program has three levels of recognition: Honor Roll, Honor Roll with Distinction, and a President's List. Only the top students are named to the President's List, which requires a GPA of 3.90 or higher. Students who earn Honor Roll recognition will receive an official letter of recognition and a resume honor.

The University of Denver is proud to celebrate the academic achievements of its student-artists. Their hard work and dedication to their studies are commendable, and we look forward to seeing their continued success in the future.
