Haryana Board Announces Detailed Class 12 Physics Syllabus for 2025-2026
The Haryana Board of Secondary Education (HBSE) has unveiled the comprehensive syllabus for Class 12 Physics for the academic year 2025-2026. The syllabus is designed to provide a thorough understanding of the subject, with equal emphasis on theoretical knowledge and practical assessments.
Course Structure
The syllabus is structured into nine units, covering a wide range of topics such as Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Moving Charges and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Electromagnetic Waves, Optics, Dual Nature of Radiation and Matter, Atoms and Nuclei, and Electronic Devices.
Each unit is further divided into chapters, with a total of 70 marks allocated for the theory portion. The practical assessment will be worth 30 marks.
Theory Exam
The theory exam will consist of Objective Questions, Very Short Answer Type Questions, Short Answer Type Questions, Case Studies, and Long Answer Type Questions. The Question Paper Pattern is designed to test the students' understanding and application of the concepts learned.
Practical Examination
The practical examination will consist of an Internal Assessment and a Practical Exam. The Internal Assessment includes Student Assessment (SAT) exams, Half yearly exam, Pre-board exam, Attendance and classroom participation, Project work, and Practical record. The Practical Exam will include two experiments, one activity, and a Viva-voce.

The prescribed books for HBSE Class 12 Physics are Physics, Class XII, Part I and II, published by BSEH (NCERT), and Laboratory Manual of Physics for Class XII (NCERT).
