Hanau's Kulturforum Library Extends Hours for Exam Season Support
Hanau's Kulturforum library is extending its opening hours to support students during exam season. From late April to mid-May, the facility will remain open until 11 p.m. on six evenings. The move aims to provide extra study time for pupils preparing for their Mittlerer Schulabschluss tests.
The extended hours cover the final week of the Easter holidays and the lead-up to Hesse's school exams. All 174 study spaces, including individual desks and group areas, will be available. Students can also reserve one of three enclosed, mobile study pods on the second floor for teamwork.
Power outlets are fitted at every workstation, with portable power banks and a charging locker offered for devices. Soundproof partitions will help keep noise levels low, ensuring a focused environment. The library's fifteen computers, complete with internet, Microsoft Office, and printing, can be used with a valid library card. No advance booking is needed to enter during the late-night sessions. The Hessencampus Hanau education advisory service will also be present to offer guidance and support.
The initiative gives students more time and resources to prepare for their exams. With quiet spaces, tech access, and expert advice, the library aims to ease the pressure of revision. The late openings run on selected evenings in April and May.
