Hamburg's Kids Get Free Drone Camp Tickets This Summer
Hamburg's digitalization enthusiasts are in for a treat this summer. The Interface Society (ThIS!), a local non-profit promoting digitalization research and discussion, is offering ten free tickets for the Khan Academy's summer camp. The camp and a drone meetup, featuring Hamburg's Senator of Economics Michael Westhagemann, will take place at the Homeport innovation campus in the city's harbor.
ThIS! is giving away the free tickets for the Khan Academy's summer camp, which is open to children aged 10 to 15. The camp will run from Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4 pm, during the first three weeks of the summer. Participants will learn to fly drones visually and with video goggles, drone programming, and safe handling.
Hamburg is emerging as an innovation hub for drone projects, with the drone industry opening up new job opportunities and business models. On 14 July, a drone meetup will take place at the Homeport, focusing on the growing demand for skilled workers in the aviation industry. The meetup will discuss the benefits of drones for training and attracting talent for the future aviation industry. Attendees will include Michael Westhagemann, Hamburg's Senator of Economics, the drone network Windrove, and ThIS!
The Khan Academy's summer camp and the drone meetup are set to be exciting events for Hamburg's young innovators and industry professionals alike. With the city's growing reputation as a drone innovation hub, these events are expected to foster further growth and interest in the sector.
