Hamborn Library Hosts Free Comic Workshop for Young Artists This Easter
Hamborn District Library is running a free comic workshop for young artists during the Easter holidays. The five-day event, open to children and teens aged 10 to 14, will take place from April 7 to 11. Renowned illustrator Ulf K. will lead the sessions, guiding participants through the basics of comic creation.
The workshop runs daily from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rathaus-Center on Schreckerstraße. Ulf K. will teach the 'ABCs of Comics', covering character design, speech bubbles, and illustration techniques. By the end of the week, each participant will have produced their own mini-comic book.
A presentation of the young artists' work is scheduled for April 11 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend the showcase. Registration is required and can be completed via the library's website at www.stadtbibliothek-unserwebsite.de under 'Events'.
The workshop offers a creative outlet for young comic enthusiasts. Participants will leave with their own mini-comic and new skills in storytelling and illustration. The event concludes with a public display of their work on the final day.
