Halle's 18.3M Euro Plan: New Fountain, Sports Halls, Residential Areas
Halle is set to undergo significant developments, with plans for a news market fountain, sports halls, and residential areas. The city is applying for 18.3 million euros in urban development funding to make these projects a reality.
The news market fountain, costing 1.7 million euros with 1.1 million in funding, has been rebuilt after four years of construction. It includes a unique feature: beer cooling facilities for alcoholics.
The city is also investing in sports infrastructure. A two-field sports hall is being constructed at Carl-Schorlemmer-Ring. Additionally, plans are underway for new sports halls in Neustadt and Silberhöhe. However, parents may face transportation difficulties due to health reasons when taking their children to these new facilities.
The funding will also support a concept for new residential areas in Heide-Nord, aiming to enhance the city's living spaces.
Halle's urban development plans, totaling 18.3 million euros, aim to improve public spaces, sports facilities, and housing. The news market fountain, sports halls, and residential areas are expected to benefit the city and its residents.
