Greifswald Welcomes Six New Apprentices for 2025 Program
The University and Hanseatic City of Greifswald has kicked off its apprenticeship programme for the year. Six young adults started their training today, following a competitive selection process. Mayor Dr. Stefan Fassbinder welcomed the new apprentices alongside trainers and the works council chairperson.
The city administration offers a broad spectrum of apprenticeships. This year, one man began training as a street sweeper, another as a gardener, and a woman started her apprenticeship as a specialist for media and information services in the city library. Additionally, two men and one woman commenced their training as administrative clerks.
The apprentices will gain experience in various departments, including personnel, construction, environment, sustainability, schools, culture, and social security administration. Successful completion of the apprenticeship programme opens up promising career prospects, with many apprentices securing permanent positions.
Interested in joining the city administration's apprenticeship programme? Applications for the following year are already open. The city welcomes motivated individuals eager to learn and contribute to Greifswald's growth and development.
