Google unveils Gemini-3 with advanced AI for text, images, and video
Google has launched Gemini-3, its latest foundational AI model, with enhanced capabilities across text, images, audio, and video. The company announced the release on Tuesday while also opening early testing for Indian customers. Data generated by users in India will remain stored within the country, Google confirmed.
Gemini-3 improves how AI understands context in complex queries. It is now available in Google Search, the Gemini app, AI Studio for developers, and Vertex AI. The model supports multiple input types, making it more versatile for different applications.
Google is also introducing Antigravity, a coding assistant powered by AI agents tailored for specific industries. Major Indian businesses, including Tata Consultancy Services and Reliance Industries, are already using the Gemini platform.
While Google has committed to full data residency in India, it has not yet clarified whether Gemini-3 itself will be fully localised immediately. The company is, however, working to align its AI data and models with India’s regulatory requirements.
The rollout of Gemini-3 marks Google’s push to expand advanced AI tools in India while ensuring compliance with local data laws. Early access is now open for Indian users, with the model integrated into key Google services. Businesses and developers can begin testing its improved capabilities right away.
