Global Youth Contest Yunkor-2026 Celebrates Creativity and Cultural Unity

The 7th Open International Contest Yunkor-2026 has opened its doors to young creatives worldwide. Children and teenagers aged 6 to 18 can participate individually or as a group, submitting projects that fit into one of seven themes. These include 'My City Through My Eyes', 'The City That No Longer Exists', 'Lessons in Creation', 'Defenders of the Fatherland: Heroes of Our Time', and 'From Earth to Orbit: Friendship of Peoples – The Driving Force of Space'. Food traditions are covered in 'Culinary Chronicles: From Our Ancestors to Us', while the final theme, 'Long Live the Fraternal Union and Great Friendship of Peoples', focuses on unity and collaboration.

Entries can be videos (up to seven minutes long) or reports (up to five minutes). Judges will assess submissions across three age groups: 'Little Correspondent' (6–7 years), 8–12 years, and 13–18 years. The contest aims to connect young people with Russia’s historical legacy while promoting cultural awareness and the importance of preserving collective memory. Hosted in Nizhny Novgorod, the event seeks to inspire creativity and cross-cultural exchange among the next generation.

The competition offers a platform for young voices to share their interpretations of history, tradition, and progress. Winners will gain recognition for their work, with the contest serving as a bridge between past and present. Submissions are now open to all eligible participants, both in Russia and internationally.
