Girls dominate in Haryana's educational landscape as exceptional ICSE and ISC pass rates are achieved for the academic year 2024-25.
The education landscape in Haryana is ablaze with success after the declaration of the 2024-25 Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) results. Overflowing with jubilant students and teachers, top schools across the state are basking in the glory of 100% pass rates and standout performances. From the highest scores in Commerce to stellar marks in Chemistry, the accomplishments of the Haryana students and schools underscore a grueling year of hard work, tenacity, and triumph.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) announced the results on a Wednesday, paving the way for an in-depth inspection of the top performers and their inspiring tales.
Armaan Sehgal and Gauraangi Kapoor, two scholarly Commerce students from Scottish High International School, marked 99.5% in the ISC exams, leading the pack. In the Humanities stream, Ekaksh Kohli snatched 99.25%, and Devang Pant, a Science stream student, achieved 98.5%. For ICSE Class X students, Armin Kaur and Siddharth Kapoor shone with 98.4%. Scottish High International School registered a 100% pass rate in both exams, with 59% of ISC students scoring above 90%, and a staggering 93% scoring above 75%. In ICSE, 57% of students scored above 90%, and 93% scored 75% and above.
"I persevered consistently and stressed daily revision over last-minute cramming. My supportive teachers made the journey much more manageable," said Armaan. Gauraangi added, "It wasn’t about chasing numbers but about employing smart study habits. My efforts on the fundamentals made the difference."
In reaction to the results, the chairman of Scottish High, Dr Kartikay Saini, proclaimed, "Our school stands as a cornerstone and a trendsetter. We raise the bar year after year. Be it academics, sports, or extra-curricular activities, our students continue to astound us with their ceaseless thirst for success."
Lord Jesus Public School also celebrated a 100% pass rate in both ICSE and ISC. Vaidik Upadhyay led ICSE Class X with 96.16%, followed by Yuvraj Chauhan at 95%. ISC science students Aditya Sharma and Parth Verma from the Commerce stream notched 96.6% and 94.8%, respectively, while Tanisha Dudeja attained the highest mark of 92.2% in the Humanities stream.
Tanisha shared, "I maintained my focus and adhered to a clear routine. I may have stumbled initially with History, but I refused to succumb to defeat." Seema Sharma, Principal of Lord Jesus, applauded the students for their diligence and the meticulous guidance from their mentors.
Orchids The International School, Golden Heights, registered a 100% pass rate in ICSE, with Gargi Gupta heading the school with 96.2%, excelling in Chemistry.
"I persisted with a disciplined schedule and constantly worked to revise my work. The feedback from my teachers bolstered my confidence and encouraged me to enhance my performance," said Gargi. Principal Divya Dhirendra emphasized the importance of recognizing each student's strengths to help them excel.
In a historic moment, Lt Atul Katarya Memorial School (LAKMS) saw its inaugural ISC batch, with Shubham Gulia scoring 97.25% in Science. Yukta Saini topped Commerce with 95.5%, and Mukti Suhag, Principal of LAKMS, stated, “Our first ISC batch has surpassed expectations and left a remarkable footprint for future students.”
In Class X at LAKMS, Vanshika Yadav reigned supreme with 98.4%, followed closely by Heman Prasad at 98.2%, and Kavya and Jaanvi who shared the third position with 97%.
Globally, Haryana mirrored national trends, boasting a 99.81% pass rate for ICSE Class 10 and an astounding 99.90% pass rate for Class 12 ISC. Despite no official names of toppers being revealed by the board, regional media occasionally highlights high scorers independently.
