Ghana's Jemtuto Primary School reopens after transformative renovation led by local MP

Jemtuto Primary School in Ghana's Salaga-South Constituency has reopened after a full renovation. The project, led by local MP Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has transformed the school's facilities. Teachers, pupils and residents have all praised the improvements as a major step forward for education in the area.

The rehabilitation work at Jemtuto Primary School was completed in recent weeks. Classrooms, sanitation and general infrastructure were upgraded to create a better learning space. Students will now return to their newly refurbished classrooms within days.

Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, the MP for Salaga-South, funded and oversaw the project. Since taking office in 2020, she has focused on education, delivering 12 school projects across the constituency. Among these was the completion of Salaga South Senior High School in 2023. By 2025, she also plans to establish 11 new community basic schools.

School staff and parents have welcomed the changes, noting the positive impact on teaching and learning. The upgrades come as part of wider efforts to strengthen education in the Savannah Region.

The newly renovated Jemtuto Primary School will now provide a safer and more modern space for pupils. With 12 educational projects already delivered and more planned, the MP's work continues to expand access to better schooling. The community expects these improvements to support higher attendance and academic performance in the years ahead.
