Ghana's Agenda 111 hospital hits 70% completion ahead of year-end launch
The Agenda 111 hospital in Twifo Hemang is now around 70 percent complete and set for completion by the end of the year. The facility will become the main healthcare centre for the Twifo Hemang-Lower-Denkyira District, easing pressure on nearby hospitals. Local leaders and residents have urged the government to finish the project on time. Currently, serious medical cases from Twifo Hemang are sent to the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District Hospital. Once finished, the new Agenda 111 hospital will handle these cases locally, improving access for residents.
District Chief Executive Patrick Fiable confirmed the government's commitment to completing the project. He stated that work is progressing well, with essential equipment—including air conditioners—already installed. Community representatives Ofori Arthur and Twum Barimah highlighted the hospital's importance. They noted that delays in similar projects across Ghana have left some areas without promised healthcare facilities. However, this site remains a priority, with plans to open it before 2026.
The hospital's completion will bring specialised care closer to Twifo Hemang residents. With construction at 70 percent, the project is on track to meet its year-end deadline. Once operational, it will reduce travel times for patients and strengthen local healthcare services.
