Georgia Introduces Standardized Exam for International Students on February 4

A standardised entrance exam for students who studied abroad but wish to continue their higher education in Georgia will take place on February 4. Organised by the National Assessment and Examinations Center (NAEC), the test aims to evaluate academic readiness and ensure fair access to Georgian universities.

The exam will be held electronically at the NAEC's Tbilisi centre. Registration opens at 13:00, with the test starting promptly at 14:00—late arrivals will not be permitted. Participants must bring a valid ID card or passport, while all other materials will be provided on site.

The assessment consists of three sections: reading comprehension, logical reasoning, and quantitative reasoning. In total, candidates will answer 45 questions over a duration of two hours and 30 minutes. To pass, they must achieve at least 23 points, equivalent to over 50% of the maximum score.

Results will be published on the NAEC website, accessible via a personal password given to each candidate on exam day. Any procedural concerns must be reported by 20:00 on the same day to be considered.

The exam provides a structured way for international students to enter Georgian higher education. Successful candidates will meet the minimum score requirement and gain access to university programmes. Official results will be available online shortly after the test date.
