George Mason University appoints former Vice President Mike Pence as a professor
Mike Pence, the former Vice President of the United States, is set to join George Mason University's Schar School of Policy and Government as a visiting professor starting in the spring. Pence will share lessons he has learned from his years of public service, including his experiences in the legislative and executive branches.
Pence believes that higher-level education plays a vital role in preparing future generations for lives of service and integrity. He will teach subjects such as politics, leadership, and national governance, drawing on his experiences on the campaign trail, in the West Wing, and as president of the U.S. Senate.
Pence looks forward to sharing these lessons with the next generation of American leaders. He emphasized the importance of principled leadership and fidelity to the Constitution in shaping the future of the nation. This commitment to civil discourse is evident in Pence's statement, which indicates a continued interest in contributing to open dialogue on campus.
In addition to his new role at George Mason University, Pence started a conservative organisation called Advancing American Freedom in 2021. Meanwhile, news from another part of the country has a different tone. A middle school student was arrested in an alleged sextortion scheme, according to police.
On a separate note, Olive Garden is testing smaller portion menu options, while an Arizona prisoner, who is set to be executed, apologised and said he will not seek clemency. Pence served as Vice President from 2017-2021 under President Donald Trump, and after stepping down as Vice President, he was appointed as a professor of politics at the University of Notre Dame in 2022. Pence taught politics at Grove City College in Pennsylvania in 2024.
As Pence embarks on this new chapter of his career, his focus remains on inspiring the next generation of leaders and shaping the future of the nation through principled leadership and a commitment to the Constitution.
